在金融危机的大背景下，企业的资本结构是否优化关乎着企业的生存和发展。由股权资本与债权资本的比例表示的资本结构，它反映的是市场经济条件下的金融关系，即以资本和信用纽带，通过投资与借贷构成股东、债券人和经营者之间相互制约的利益关系。随着我国经济制度的不断完善，许多企业已经开始注重完善自身资本结构以求发展。资本结构的优化，轻则影响融资，重则导致破产。因此，不论是分析还是优化资本结构对企业都具有紧迫性和现实意义。
由于资本结构是企业财务管理和资本运营中的一个重要内容，通过企业资本结构的研究可以提高企业筹资效益和降低筹资风险，能够全面综合反映企业的经营状况。要求企业经营者不仅要对各种财务指标进行分析，还要考虑到纳税影响、融资环境影响、经济周期影响等。由于，精准的资本结构的分析，可以以期降低风险、提高效益。从企业风险管理的角度，研究企业资本结构优化问题，对于推进我国现代企业制度的建立和完善，保障企业更好的生存与发展，从而促进我国国民经济的健康、可持续发展，具有明显现实意义和一定的学术价值。
