高中阶段的学生年龄多为14-18岁,恰恰属于生理心理发育的关键时期,升学压力大,学生心里困惑多,已成教育界重点关注的对象。因此,许多教育学者提出将情感因素运用到高中教学中,把情感教学是教师运用的一种教学手段与方式,从学生的心理出发通过激发、调动和满足学生的情感需要,促进英语教学从被动化到积极化到学习自主化的过程。本文通过情感效应在英语教学中的应用、教师应具备的素质和能力、培养学生情感的方式途径等几个方面进行论述,指出了如何将情感教学这一新元素成功而又充分的运用到英语教学实践中去,从而最终推动学生真正的做到自主学习,成为学习的主人。
