摘要： 高校校园网的普及加快了网络信息交流的应用，有线网络覆盖范围有限、布线费用高等一些缺点日益显露，有线网络不能满足在校师生在校园不确定环境中对网络信息的使用需求，无线局域网技术可凭借其独有的优势有效的弥补这些不足。基于校园不确定环境，可在教学楼、自习室、会议室、报告厅、礼堂、室外场所、数字化图书馆中增加无线网络覆盖区域，使无线网络在校园环境中能得到广泛适用。

0. 引言
　　
　　高校网络教学、网络会议、数字化图书馆、网络存储技术和网络实验室等应用不断推广，便携式计算机等可移动设备的广泛应用，人员流动性增大，有些区域不适合大规模布线，使得有线局域网无法满足在校师生无线、移动接入校园网，随时随地接入Internet 的要求。无线局域网技术（Wireless Local Area Network）可以有效的弥补这些不足。作为传统局域网的补充，能覆盖有线网络难以涉及的范围，满足不确定环境中网络资源的使用和共享需求，在校园网中有很广阔的应用前景。目前，拥有无线校园网已经成为高校信息化网络化发展的标志。
