【摘 要】：介绍了一种新的快速而可靠的矿井通信技术—以太无源光网络EPON，并详述了EPON的体系结构及其传输方式。根据分析矿井监控通信的特点，提出了光纤通信在矿井中的必要性，并设计了EPON网络在矿井中的应用模型。

EPON Applied in Monitoring and Communication System Used in Coal Mine
Abstract: A new fast and reliable coal mine communication technology, Ethernet Positive Optical Network（EPON），was introduced in this paper. Then EPON’s system structure and transmission method was described detailedly. According to the analysis of coal mine monitoring and communication’s characteristic, the author proposed the necessity that the fiber optic communication was built in coal mine. Ultimately, an EPON application model used in coal mine was given.
