多媒体发展之MPEG－4视频编码技术

摘 要：视频编码是多媒体通信中的核心技术，它不但关系到通信带宽，也关系到通信过程中的图像质量。随着多媒体技术在网络的广泛应用，视频编码技术更加显得重要。与之相适应，各种多媒体数据压缩编码标准也在不断地发展和完善。MPEG—4是现在最重要最有影响的多媒体数据编码国际标准之一。基于对象的编码思想使其具有高压缩比、可扩展性、可交互性等许多特点。本论文首先系统介绍了MPEG-4视频编码的核心思想，接着分析了MPEG-4的主要关键技术。然后通过四方面描述了MPEG-4的视频特性，接下来简述了MPEG-4的应用场合，最后笔者提出了MPEG-4的应用前景及未来展望。

Abstract: Video coding is multimedia communication of core technology, it not only relates to communication bandwidth, but also related to communication in the process of image quality. As the multimedia technology in the wide application of electronic networks, video coding technology is more important. Conesponding, all sorts of multimedia data compression coding standard is in constant development and improvement. MPEG - 4 is now the most important of the most influential one of multimedia data coding international standards. Based on object code thoughts make it has higher compression ratio, expansibility, interactivity and many other features. This paper firstly system introduced mpeg-4 video coding the core idea, then analyzes mpeg-4 key technology of. Then through four aspects described mpeg-4 of video characteristic, then describes the applications mpeg-4 last, the author puts forward the mpeg-4 prospect of application and future prospects.
