The objective of this study was to develop a simplified method of predicting the fatigue reliability of steel bridge details with pre-existing cracks. The expected life of a steel highway bridge subjected to random, variable-amplitude traffic cycles is highly dependent upon damage accumulation caused by various fatigue mechanisms. The proposed probabilistic model mainly addresses randomness associated with the stress spectra imposed upon the cracked detail by vehicular passages.
本研究的目的是制定一种简化的方法来预测钢桥的疲劳可靠性和可能存在的裂缝。在公路钢结构桥受到随机、变振幅、周期交通流的条件下,桥梁的预期寿命很大程度上取决于各种疲劳机制造成的损害。
