Abstract
The method of isolation and purification of Huperzine A from the Huperzia serrata was studied in this paper. It was found that the macroporous absorption resins, the liquid-liquid extraction and the reverse extraction could isolate and purify Huperzine A effectively. The results showed: the best column isolation condition of Huperzine A is that the pH value of the roughly extracted from Huperzia serrata was adjusted to 7.5 and then eluted by 50% ethanol resolution at pH5.0; The yield rate and purity of the isolated product were 0.6113% and 16.77% respectively. Then the pH value of the isolated of Huperzia serrata was adjusted to 3.0 and 9.0 and extracted by chloroform respectively; the content of Hup A of the product was higher. The yield rate and purity of the purified product were 0.1495% and 52.23% respectively.
