Abstract

In modern society, with the rapid development of economy, business advertisement has attracted and favored more and more enterprises, middle-age and consumers. However, advertising language has its own unique features. The paper makes a preliminary analysis on the language features of English advertising from the perspective of syntax, lexical, and rhetoric. This paper will present in six parts. The first part is the introduction and the last is conclusion. The focus of the paper is laid on the middle part which respectively analyze language features on syntax, lexical and rhetoric. With the analysis, the author hopes that readers can have a general understanding of the significance of the words used in English advertisement, sentence structure and rhetoric characteristics of it, and provides help to copywriters and advertising English learners. Nowadays advertising has penetrated into every corner of our life as its transmitting media in many forms: newspaper, magazine, TV, radio as well as network. The goal of advertising decides its language to be simple and direct, distinct from the characteristics of other discourses......




摘 要

在商品经济迅速发展的今天,英语广告作为一种信息传递的手段,越来越受到企业,中间商和广大消费者的重视和青睐,然而,广告英语作为应用性极强的语言又有其独到之处。本文透过句法,词汇,修辞对英语广告的语言特点做了初步分析。全文分作六部分,头尾分别是简介和总结部分,中间部分则着重分析了英语广告在句法,词汇,和修辞方面的语言特点。本文作者衷心希望此论文的分析能使英语广告的阅读者对句子结构,词汇运用,以及修辞方式的使用在英语广告中的重要性有一个初步的了解,也为英语广告的写作者以及学习者提供一定的帮助。如今广告进入我们的生活的每个角落,它传送的媒介以许多形式存在: 报纸, 杂志, 电视, 收音机和网络等等。广告的性质决定它的语言简单,直接。作为传播和传送信息的方式, 广告的作用不能被低估,因为它不仅是用一个高明的技术说服人们购买其商品, 而且逐渐成为对社会经济发展的重要影响。英语广告逐渐成为企业的一个主要开发外国市场的工具,更好的掌握英语广告的语言特色, 让我们的产品更容易打入国际市场。
