Abstract: The Internet of things is an emerging technology, which is a sensing various information devices (such as radio frequency identification devices, infrared sensors, global positioning systems, communication devices, etc.) and the Internet combine to form a huge network. First parse the concept and characteristics of things and composition; Secondly, the development status of things were accountable; Then the typical application of the Internet of things was discussed; Finally, the emergence of the Internet of things to the profound influence of the contemporary economic and social is discussed and summarized.
