中学英语教师素质提高的途径探索
摘 要
教育研究表明，学生中学阶段是人生的重要发展阶段。因此，中学教师担任着比其他阶段教师更重要的教育责任。我国从二十世纪七十年代末开始，随着外语尤其是英语在全国各级各类学校的逐步普及，我国英语教师从数量上的需求也就越来越多。为了开齐课程，一些不合格的英语教师也进入了教师队伍；在进入二十一世纪后，合格英语教师的数量虽有大量的增加，但全球经济化浪潮对教师队伍尤其是英语教师队伍的稳定产生了影响，部分英语教师弃教从仕，弃教从商。这不仅导致了教师数量的减少，而且教师的整体素质也在下降。在倡导素质教育的今天，教师素质的提高是关键的一环。本文就教师素质所包含的内容和目前英语教师素质存在的问题做分析，并结合国外的一些先进经验，提出一些具体的解决方法。

Abstract
The education research shows that the students in middle schools are their important developmental stage, so middle school teachers have much more important educational responsibilities than other teachers. In China, at the end of 1970s, China has been popularizing English teaching in different kinds of schools .Accordingly, it needs more and more English teachers. But some of the incompetent teachers joined the staff in order to meet the needs of English teaching. After entering the 21st century, the globalization of economy seriously has affected the stability of the teaching staff. Some abandoned teaching to pick up business or chose official career. This leads to the decrease of the number of teachers as well as their qualities. Now it is the time we called for quality-education, teachers’ quality is a crucial link. 教育研究表明，学生中学阶段是人生的重要发展阶段。因此，中学教师担任着比其他阶段教师更重要的教育责任。我国从二十世纪七十年代末开始，随着外语尤其是英语在全国各级各类学校的逐步普及，我国英语教师从数量上的需求也就越来越多。为了开齐课程，一些不合格的英语教师也进入了教师队伍；在进入二十一世纪后，合格英语教师的数量虽有大量的增加，但全球经济化浪潮对教师队伍尤其是英语教师队伍的稳定产生了影响，部分英语教师弃教从仕，弃教从商。这不仅导致了教师数量的减少，而且教师的整体素质也在下降。在倡导素质教育的今天，教师素质的提高是关键的一环。本文就教师素质所包含的内容和目前英语教师素质存在的问题做分析，并结合国外的一些先进经验，提出一些具体的解决方法。

Abstract
The education research shows that the students in middle schools are their important developmental stage, so middle school teachers have much more important educational responsibilities than other teachers. In China, at the end of 1970s, China has been popularizing English teaching in different kinds of schools .Accordingly, it needs more and more English teachers. But some of the incompetent teachers joined the staff in order to meet the needs of English teaching.
