Abstract
The main topic of the subject is covered in plastic injection mold design. First, through the analysis of the end cover plastics¡¯ structure and material, determining the mold¡¯s main type, succeeded in designing the mold joint and arranging a balanced-four-cavities layout in one mold, choosing the simplified three-plate mold.
After the overall concept design of the mold, the paper completed necessary design and calculate in feed system, molding forming parts such as the mold cavities and mold cores, ejecting mechanism, cooling system and exhaust way. According to the need of taking out plastics remaining in pin point gate feed system and the forming end cover plastics, as for the design of the ejecting mechanism, designing a bi-parting surface ordered ejecting mechanism. Finally, to meet the need of injection, a suitable injection molding machine is chosen and the related parameters are successfully checked.
The molding design is relayed on the PTC Pro-engineer three-dimensional modeling, engineering drawings are finished in AutoCAD. Through in the fully use of computer aided design, the efficiency and quality of design is dramatically improved.
