摘 要
随着计算机视觉和图像处理技术的不断发展,基于视频的人体运动分析已成为计算机视觉领域一个备受关注的研究方向,其在智能监控、人机交互、医疗诊断等方面都有着广阔的应用前景。运动速度作为人体运动信息的一个重要部分,是权衡一个人当前运动状态的重要指标。在特定的场合,人体运动速度能反映出一个人的态度、情绪、潜在意图、健康程度等信息。因此,对人体运动速度的研究具有重要的现实意义。
本文对固定摄像机采集的视频图像序列进行了基于运动目标检测的人体运动速度估算方法的研究。首先,采用三连帧差与背景差相结合的方法对视频中的运动人体进行了提取;其次,提取运动人体质心特征进行运动目标定位;最后,分析人体行走时质心纵向运动轨迹,获取人体行走一步所花时间来估算人体运动速度。
实验结果表明,本文所采用的三连帧差分与背景差分相结合进行运动目标检测的算法速度快,具有一定的鲁棒性;根据人体质心在垂直方向的运动轨迹所具有的周期性来描述人体的运动速度,通过波形分析法鉴别人体运动周期的谷底,所得到的经验阈值符合人体生理学的特征。

Abstract
With the development of computer vision and image processing technology, human motion analysis based on video has become a hot field, and it has broad application prospects in intelligent control, human-computer interaction, medical diagnosis,etc. As an important part of the motion information, velocity is a key factor for measuring the current state of motion. In special environment, velocity can reflect the information about person's attitude, mood, potential intentions, and the degree of health. Therefore, the research of human motion speed has important practical significance.
Based on motion detection in the video image sequence captured by fixed cameras, an approach to estimating human motion speed is studied in this thesis. Firstly, method that employs adaptive background subtraction and difference between three frames is used to extract human body in the video; Furthermore, centroid is extracted for locating target; Finally, based on analysis of centroid trajectory in the vertical direction, the time spent for walking a step is used to estimate human motion speed.
Experimental results show that the algorithm that employs adaptive background subtraction and difference between three frames is fast, and it has a certain degree of robustness; Periodicity of centroid trajectory in the vertical direction is used to describe the motion speed, and the correct trough is identificated through the analysis of body movement waveform, and threshold gained by the experiment can reflect the characteristics of human physiology.
