ABSTRACT
Sheet metal forming is a very important plastic working technology which has been widely used in industrial domains. However, sheet metal forming experiences very complicated deforming processes, which make it very important for the proper decision of the process and die in order to improve the quality and continuity of products and guarantee the production reliabilities. This paper researches electric engine shell, which is used to fix the position of electric engine and form the shape and shell of electric engine. It demands that the part be flat, no defect of warp, wrinkle and crack and so on. But the shape of the part is allotype and the part is very high, and its forming process property is worse. These features of the piece make the forming process and process complicated and the processing plan various.
In this paper, using three-dimensional mould software UG to build the shape; then according to the plasticity deformation principle and partial process knowledge, design guidelines and design experience, the forming process of the electric engine capsid is researched. In addition, on the basis of analyzing the punch manufacturability of the piece, the possible processes in every working procedure are compared and analyzed, then the process plan are finally gained. Moulds of each process are designed in light of the optimized, and introducing the structure of the forming mould and the design of key pieces.
The result of the research here can provide reference for pieces of the same kind on forming has reference value.
